You will fill out the necessary information to start a portal account, complete the intake questionnaire and consent on-line and we will confirm your preferred appointment with you by email.

A few words on Insurance: You may also want check if acupuncture is covered by your health insurance before you start. You could call your insurance company, or, we are happy to do that leg work for you by simply filling out the information on this on-line form and we will return the results of our inquiry back to you by email. https://www.cihealth.org/verify
It is my understanding that all health insurance policies that originate in Maryland or D.C. require the inclusion of acupuncture services as voted on during the implementation of the affordable care act. Medicare has just begun to cover acupuncture, currently just for back pain and many restrictions apply. I am in-network with CareFirst BCBS but other policies may cover you for out-of-network benefits for acupuncture. Regardless of if you check your insurance benefits for acupuncture prior to you scheduling, we will also check it when we receive your registration information to keep any payment surprises at a minimum as we begin. During our work together we will submit all insurance paperwork on your behalf and collect the co-pay at time of service or the co-insurance or deductible amount once processed by your insurance. My goal is to help make the convoluted world of insurance benefits and payment processing as transparent for us as possible.
